How It Works

Traditional backtesting requires coding skills — writing Pine Script, Python, or similar. ChartingLens eliminates that entirely. You describe what you want in natural language, and the AI does the rest.

Performance Metrics

Every backtest produces a complete performance report so you can evaluate your strategy objectively.

• Total Return — the overall percentage gain or loss from the first trade to the last
• Win Rate — the percentage of trades that were profitable
• Sharpe Ratio — risk-adjusted return, measuring how much excess return you get per unit of volatility
• Profit Factor — gross profits divided by gross losses. A profit factor above 1.0 means the strategy was net profitable
• Max Drawdown — the largest peak-to-trough decline during the backtest period, showing worst-case capital loss
• Number of Trades — total buy/sell round trips generated by the strategy

AI Signal Tournament

Don't have a strategy in mind yet? Just ask. Type something like "Can you give me an indicator that has buy and sell signals" and instead of guessing at one answer, the AI runs a tournament: it backtests seven classic signal strategies on the current symbol and the exact timeframe you're on, then ranks them so you can see which one actually performs best on your chart.
